Mission:
There are over 50 million children in India with or at risk of developmental disabilities.
Ummeed started in 2001 with the vision of helping children with and at risk of disabilities reach their full potential and be included in society. We work towards this through:
Offering assessments and therapy services with developmental pediatricians, occupational therapists, autism intervention specialists, counsellors, other professionals
Training doctors, therapists, teachers, community workers to better support children with developmental disabilities and their families
Participating in research relevant to this space
Advocating for inclusive schools, communities; influencing policy
Ummeed has supported over 10000 children directly and over 2.5 lakh children indirectly.
